I had a hard time believing what I was reading. The penalties are not severe enough for those inflicting damages to an animal . I was just happy to see that the dog recovered and found a home.

Penalities like this one send out the message that animals have very little rights. Let's hope he has to share the cell with a murderer that is in because he killed a man for calling his dog stupid.

Besides the 45 days in jail, they forbade any ownership of dogs for 3 yrs.
I doubt this jerk would ever understand how wrong this was.
