Pollen, Pennicilan, and my parents won't let me eat shellfish like clams because once my brother had an allergic reaction to it and he was rushed to the ER, so they don't want me even tasting it.
I wish I was allergic to math, but sadly it isn't possible.![]()
I think I'm allergic to Penicillin. When I was 3 years old my mom had an allergic reaction to Penicillin and apparently I said I was having the same symptoms, so I've never had Penicillin to this day...over 30 years later.
I am also sensitive to citrus fruits and juices. It makes sores in my mouth. Weird, I know.
I've never had an official allergy test in my life, so there are probably a million other things I am allergic to but just don't know it.
I think I just discoverd I might be allergic to Hyacinth flowers. I got some for my birthday and just about died in the car on my way home.![]()
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.
Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Oh gosh yes, hyacinths have such a strong perfume, and make me sick, as do Easter lillies, which means I am well-drugged with antihistamines to be able to sing Easter morning! Thankfully some people opt for tulips instead of lillies - my vote of course goes for the tulips!
Do you mean canker sores (kind of like mouth ulcers?). I know it's not conventional in any way, but Chinese people believe that there are "high-heat" foods that can cause or exacerbate canker sores. Ironically, citrus fruits and juices (pineapple is the worse) are among the main culprits, as are fried foods, chips, and a myriad of other food items. I don't completely understand the whole concept, but maybe that could be it...Originally Posted by Taz_Zoee
I'm not allergic to anything in particular, but I'm lactose intolerant. No surprise there![]()
Ibuprofen (a real bummer)
keflex
raw onions
cigarette smoke and the aromas of the plug-ins and expensive candles. Cheap candles are okay.
possibly sensitive to nuts, certain foods cause breathing problems and I think these are made with peanut oil, or it's the chocolate. Oddly enough I can eat cheap chocolate and have a Butterfinger bar.
Dust in general. I hate carpets
Spunky has asthma and allergies, carpets cause him problems, too.
I'm probably allergic to cat dander too, but since since I use most of the above (except ibuprofen), I can't see me losing the cats over an allergy.
Stress will aggravate my allergies before most of the above.

Oh dear, I'll never complain about the 24 hour " repeats" from all kinds of peppers and cucumbers and watermelon..(suddenly..due to my aging I guess)
I just try to stay away...The only horrendous reaction is an instant migraine from the sulfates in red wine and champagne. Poor Me. Pity Party. Luckily I love white wine. Woe is me.
John's granddaughter (3yo) has so many food allergies that we all have epi-pens in tow and have to constantly wash our hands in case we've eaten something "Not Mara Safe". So my heart goes out to all of you. I mean, I have other physical problems, but now consider myself lucky. Wish I had a magic wand to make you all well! Junk Food party!
I've been Boooo'd!
I'm mildly allergic to bees (found this out when I got stung in the eye and it swelled shut). Certain cleaners give me painful and itchy rashes (I usually wear long sleeves when going to a restaurant). Certain painkillers and blueberries make me sick. Pollen and dust do it to me, too. My throat becomes mildly irritated with pudding.
My husband is allergic to bleach and food colouring.
grass- I break out in hives everywhere
Pollen-red eyes runny nose
cats-I used to get a stuffy nose puffy red eyes but I dont think I'm allergic anymore seeing as I have 2 and am fine.
Straw and hay- hives, red itchy eyes
Horse sweat-hives
Mold dust-sneeze
Cleaning products-Red itchy eyes and I cant stop sneezing, sometimes get weezy

I have a mild allergy to perfumes, body sprays, and axe.
I also have a mild allergy to chocolate... but not serious enough to keep me away from it!![]()

I'm not officially allergic to anything!
I have a feeling I'm becoming lactose intolerant though.

I am allergic to penicillin and I suffer mildly from hay fever. It is easily controlled with anti histamins though.
Oh! I am also a bit allergic to Daisy - none of the other cats, just Daisy. My eyes swell up badly if she comes too close. Most of the time it is easy to make sure that I don't touch my eyes after touching Daisy, but on those occasions when she jumps on the bed while I am asleep then sneezes in my eyes, well ...
Not a thing as far as food and plants and ingested meds and such go.
But skin allergies.... If it is a cleaner, topical medicine, perfume or cologne, air freshener, scented soap or lotion, etc. it is just safer at this point to assume it will induce massive hives and swelling.
So you'd understand my dread of going through the comestics department at department stores. Salesladies seem to not understand why I veer way around them and their "ready-to-spray" samples!Originally Posted by Sophist
