Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. The vet told me it could be a histiocytoma, but those usually occur more often in younger dogs, but there is a good chance it's a recurrence of mast cell. Because of it's location we are just going to have it removed and sent for pathology. Even if it's not mast cell it's in a spot that will constantly get hit and irritated so we didn't do an aspirate today, since we are removing it anyway. Unfortunately she is going to be out of town for two weeks and cannot do the surgery until March 2nd. I am going to keep an eye on it and if it looked exponentially worse in that time frame I will take her to another vet to see about having it removed sooner. Please keep her in your prayers that it will be okay, I'd rather have her own vet do the surgery as I trust her and know she only wants the best for my dogs. Thanks again, it really helps to know other people are pulling for her too.

Now for the next two weeks I'm going to be a basket case and probably have nightmares about tumors!

Thanks Jess for the great sig of my kids!

Ginger is in our thoughts here in Cali.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Praying that this lump doesn't get any larger before your vet can remove it! Hugs to you, mom!
