You have to understand that there are extremists in every religion. And you have to remember that the majority of religious people AREN'T like that. I know none was meant, but I take offense to your comment.
It's just that everyone I know that has a religion goes against everything they are supposed to believe in, and until I see/find a religion based mostly with people who actually do the things and follow the things they preach I will stay 100% away from it. I believe in God, I just don't believe in religion. I understand that there are extremists (ask me for many photos, I live in Eugene ), it's just not something I would ever want to do. To me, religion is a way to control people. I've always believed this and I doubt anything will ever change my mind. I have a lot of religious friends, it's just not for me.
