When I am completely by myself I tend to get paraniod and lonely. I lived alone in college for about 6 months and was miserable. I ended up becoming a shut in. I lived with roomates too, and honestly though I find I am most comfortable living with my husband as opposed to living with him and roomates too. We aren't easy people to live with, but at least we can come to a resonable compromise if other people aren't involved if that makes sense.
I live alone; it is lonely sometimes; but I like being in company of friends.. I recently met someone and I am liking being with him..

I don't want to live alone, I want to be LET alone... (sometimes)
I think Greta Garbo said that....
I have mixed feelings right now. I'm very independent in a lot of ways and don't always play well with others, especially when it's my house.![]()
I've been Boooo'd!
I went from living with my parents to buying my own home in 1999 when I was 23.
I lived for about 3 months completely alone with no pets and then I ended up getting a dog - then a cat - etc.
I LOVE LIVING BY MYSELF!
Its nice to go spend time with my parents but I relish the time alone with my pets also.
When we talk husbands or significant other's at work - not helping around the house - dishes or laundry- I always say - "see I can't blame anyone - b/c if it is messy or piled up its b/c I did it!!"

Godspeed Phred and Gini you will be missed more than you ever know..
I've lived alone since 1985, sort of. I still had a teenager for a few years, but when she moved out, I was all alone. It was GREAT!!!
In 1989 I bought a house. My daughter was 25 and we thought we would share the house and bills. *******NOT!
She soon moved on and I got a dog----then another and then another! In the last 5 years, many cats have come and gone (rescued and rehomed) and 12 are now in residence. So I guess I've not really lived alone, alone.
But I love it and wouldn't have it any other way. But as Stacey says, there's no one to blame "if it is messy or piled up"![]()
