Oh I am so very sorry for all you and your Puddy are going through. Hopefully this will be the last time she needs to go to the hospital and you will be able to take her home healthy and happy. Hugs to you and Puddy. Monica

Ok, gonna try this again. I'm having problems w/this program. Anyhow...
The subQ treatments are usually no big deal; they're simply a drip of Ringer's lactate under the skin w/a thick gauge needle so that the procedure goes quickly, usually in 5 min. But since her surgery, she's cried and trembled and tried to jump off the table every time. When she was first diagnosed w/CRF, she had to have them twice a day, then once a day, then every other day, etc. until she was down to once a week. But now she's back to every day until we see how her remaining kidney will function.
She finally did calm down today but pilling her was a real treat. She has yet to get her subQ treatment today but I'll deal w/it. If she can take it, I can, too. She goes to have her sutures removed on Wed. and I hope Dr. Lee comes out of it w/all his digits.
And I'm hoping he'll tell me that the nervous tic is from all the meds, which she should be done w/soon.
Blessings,
Mary
Oh my, what a time for both of you! HUGS to Puddy, and to YOU.
Why didn't Dr Lee use DISSOLVING stitches? He knows his patient, after all!
GOOD LUCK.

Y'know, I wondered about that myself. He always has done that before. He must've had his reasons and I'm going to ask him about that as well on Wed. He's always asked me which I prefer, so maybe he felt this was necessary. (Not that I know what I'm talking about.)
I just gave her a subQ treatment and she fussed a lot but we got it in her. Then I gave her the pain meds and she settled right down, so I might have a good night. I've got an early appt. tomorrow, so I hope so.
Blessings,
Mary
Sorry I haven't replied at all this weekend. I feel really bad now.![]()
Puddy is probably confused and scared about everything that is going on. She is porbably thinking "What is Mommy doing? I don't wanna take my madicine!!!" She knows you are doing your best.
Good luck at the vet tomorrow!
Come on!! Let there be good news!![]()
I am just now seeing this entire thread for the first time!![]()
I am so sorry that your Puddy has had so much to go through! Poor girl! I hope you will get some better news on her soon!
Hugs,
Kim

She goes in to see Dr. Lee this morning ti have her sutures removed. She did really well yesterday, fussed a lot during her subQ treatment but she's been doing that since her surgery. And she threw up foam last night, which isn't good. So I'm anxious to hear what he has to say. I'll keep everyone posted.
Blessings,
Mary
