I just got home. She had to stay. Dr. Lee came right in when they called him. He said she does NOT have any more cancer, so that's the good news. The biopsies came back negative. And he feels that the reason she's having trouble w/her bowel movements is that during surgery he squeezed out feces that were in her intestine that he were in his words "hard as rocks". He feels that it's just more feces that she's passing and that's what's causing her discomfort. But we don't know why she isn't peeing. So they shaved her hindquarters and started fluids again cuz she was a little dehydrated. He's going to do BUN and creatinine tests tonight and, if all is well, I MAY be able to take her home tomorrow. But she was so stressed tonight that he said he couldn't even take blood from her til she calmed down because he said the stress could kill her. God.
I felt so bad leaving her again. She was turned upside down in the carrier and putting her paw through the holes as if she was begging me not to take her back to the hospital. And I didn't get to say goodbye to her cuz they started her on fluids right away and they didn't want to get her any more stressed than she already is.
So tomorrow they'll call me w/the test results and I'll post as soon as I know something. Thanx again for your support, friends. We definitely count you all as family.
Blessings,
Mary
