No one in the military is trained to ultimately be kind, caressing people - except for their own families. And it's well - documented how post traumatic stress can interfere with that.

Military people are, ultimately, trained to kill. I don't see why the behaviour described in the first post is at all unusual. Cruel and horrible, yes - but not unexpected.

I noticed that it was not Iraqi civilians who did this...they themselves have a lot done TO them.
