    So true.

I'm all for fur, as long as the animal was used for food. I don't care what animal the fur came from. I'm going to use the fur how I wish, as I'm all for using the whole animal.

I'm sure some of these dogs and cats (not all, maybe, but some) WERE raised for food.

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

I think humans have gone far too savage and bloodthirsty. I recently turned vegetarian and it disgusts me to think that is okay to kill animals because that is what WE bred them for. They are born with the certain fate of torture and THEN death. Is that fair? Is that morally right? I know some religions claim that God gave us dominion over animals, but humans have taken it MUCH too far. In my book, it is not right to create life and then torture it and kill it for simple amenities like fur or even consumption. If you think about it, there is far too much meat being wasted every year in America. Honestly, if you're going to eat meat, at least make an attempt to buy free-range and/or organic.

As for fur sometimes being a necessity, that is true in certain areas. However, my brother has a hemp jacket and the tight threading on the shell of the jacket protects him from the cold Boston chill. Add a sweater underneath and I'm sure this type of jacket could suffice in Canada and similar areas.

I agree! I just wish more people thought like that......I had one friend tell me I would go to hell for being against slaughter, because "god put them here for us to use"
