Do you belive in God? why?

I don't believe in a God I believe in a higher being. To me some man or woman sitting up in heaven on a throne with angels flying around is too "cartoonish". I can't describe it any other way than that. I don't neccisarily have a religion. Witches believe in a higher being is what I was told. That is what I believe. At school one day my best friend asked me if I believe in God and I said "I don't know" It then got around that I didn't believe in God. NOT TRUE. Like I said before I believe in a higher being.
I told everyone that and they just gave me this look like I was crazy. I go to my friends church for her youth group to play games and stuff once in a while but I don't actually go there.

I was curious; quite awhile back we had a thread in here where various people talked about their religious beliefs and practices and other people were respectful and asked questions and we all learned a lot about each other. I was thinking about starting another one of those since we have so many new members and I'm sure a lot of new information. Would anyone be interested, and do you think we can all behave again?

I thought it was wonderful how we talked for pages and pages about something that can be so touchy and I don't think any feathers got ruffled.

I think it's a fantastic idea, I remember the thread you are talking about (I think) and everyone was so gracious. I always love learning about other beliefs. I think we can all behave

Yes that sounds intresting, maybe ask everyone too ''What's our purpose on earth?'' cause that's why some people don't belive in anything cause they don't know the answer to that .. maybe some members have clues or answers hopefuly to that question .. it's probably one of the hardest questions I know (For me anyway) but I still belive in god with all my heart.
