Well, they aren't MY dogs, but when they are here, I treat them like they are.
My daughter often leaves her 2 German Shepards with us, sort of like a vacation for them ~~~ a reprive for me![]()
I was feeding them Inova Senior Plus, but she left them here with "Iams Active Maturity"~~Oh well, let's do it.
So, they each get about a cup of that , PLUS, 1/4 cup of Salmon, for breakfast. And, another cup of Iams at Supper Time. Hexay is the one with mild hip dysplasia, so she gets her suppliment twice a day. Kasha, the black German Sheperd, wants more than 2 cups per day.
I always offer each of them a treat when they come to me when I call them~~~ In the form of "Milk Bone" Senior Dog Bisquits.
I make sure that their dishes are sparkling clean and filled with Fresh Brita ( oh, they are spoiled here) at all times.
I'm a doting Gramma these daysTo Dogs!!!
Rest in Peace Corinna~ Well Never Forget You~
I"VE BEEN FROSTED
Chester had some ground beef, beef heart, and a carrot for breakfast, and a chicken back for dinner.![]()
Mine get whole chicken thigh ( about a pound) then in the food processor I put ( mind you for 4 ) a whole sweet pototoe raw, two eggs shell and all for calcium, yogurt, chicken livers, green beans. Then I sprinkle missing link vitamins, and hair of the dog on it. The females also get a cranberry capsule- half capsule each..
Buck has been eating ground chicken with ground eggshell three-four times a day since Sunday and will have to eat that probably until his stitches are out.
I left his chicken on the counter after I fed him today (by accident) and Nova ate the rest - a pound total - so she didn't get to eat her regular food.
Mandy and Luka got 1 lb green tripe.
Yesterday the girls each had a turkey leg.
Monday the girls split 3 lbs boneless beef. Luka also got pork ribs and Nova and Mandy split a can of mackeral. They all also got an egg.
Sunday the girls all had pork ribs.
Friday and Saturday the girls had chicken quarters.
Two days ago they had EVO for breakfast with an egg each and a tablespoon of plain yogurt, each had a turkey leg for dinner.
Yesterday both of mine had some sardines and black mackerel with EVO for breakfast. I usually feed the canned fish with the EVO kibble, as I try not to mix any cooked with raw, as they process a bit differently in the system. Just my personal choice. For dinner they had pig's feet and lamb neck.
This morning they had a pound of stew meat each along with 1/4 pound ground pork.
Dinner was three chicken drumsticks each (they usually get two but they were small).
Tomorrow's breakfast is beef tripe with beef heart, dinner will be chicken drumsticks again.
Thanks Jess for the great sig of my kids!
I love you baby, passed away 03/04/2008
