My original four dogs had middle names (rhyming ones, even, in case you want a warning before you barf.)

    Keito Kai
    Lacie Jae
    Sadie Mae
    Queenie Faye

Then I got into rescue, and had dozens of dogs in and out all the time. They did well to get one reasonable name.

Lacie and Sadie have died, so now only two of the eight have middle names. Well, my husband's dog is registered so I guess his middle name is Inferno. Dante's Inferno.
"We give dogs the time we can spare, the space we can spare and the love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made" - M. Facklam

"We are raised to honor all the wrong explorers and discoverers - thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses. Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams."- P.S. Beagle

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien

    It is.

Only Sam, Jane, and Callie have middle names. Jane's full name is Lady Jane Grey. I'm not sure if Jane or Grey is her middle name. I call her Jane or "li'l girl".

Sam's full name is Samwise Rory Beauregard Gamgee, the Red. I call him Sam.

Callie's full name is Calla Lily. Sometimes she is called Callie, sometimes Lily.

Only Layla and Angel have middle names.
Layla Angel and Angel Anna. I gave Layla the name Angel because she was my angel that saved me from despair when my RB Mandy died. Angel had her name when I got her from a rescue but I added Anna in honor of my grandmother Anna, who I got my love of cats from.

Wow, this is an old thread. I only had Zoee and Taz.
So, none of mine really have middle names. I say Zoee's is Jayne, but I never really use it on her.
Here are their most commonly used nicknames.
    Zoee - Zo dog
Taggart - Tagg-Tagg-Tiggity-Tagg (how is this a nickname when it's soo long)
Paizly - Paizly Poo, or just Poop
    Jax - Jaxter, Maxter

And then I refer to them by species and gender. Boy Dog, Girl Dog, Boy Cat, Girl Cat.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Cindy (Human) - Taz (RB Tabby) - Zoee (RB Australian Shepherd) - Paizly (Dilute Tortie) - Taggart (Aussie Mix) - Jax (Brown & White Tabby), - Zeplyn (Cattle Dog Mix)
