    Lorraine,

Don't blame yourself. It's a freak of nature. You did the best you could for Sweetpea. Now concentrate on her babies. I know that with your help they will thrive.

Oh no! Did Sweetpea eat the placenta & all that nasty stuff that goes with birthing? That usually stimulates milk production by them eating it. Prayers being sent that the Dairy Queen opens soon.

Lorraine, I'm so sorry to hear this sad update. I hope that the little calico kitten will be strong enough to make it and that the other 2 will continue to thrive too. I also hope that Sweetpea will start producing milk soon. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent your way. (((HUGS)))

Jack & Sunny have their paws crossed that little sweepea's babies will pull through, and I hope that Sweetpea isn't too stressed by the situation herself.
I am sending prayers to her and her precious little babies.

    Oh dear. How sad.

    RIP little babies.

SweetPea, (and Lorraine) help those remaining little ones as best as you can. We know you are TRYING to be a good mom. We understand that you are VERY young. No one will be mad at you, we love you.

Many of us who have had newborns have experienced the pain of the loss of the innocent. We know your sorrow, and we share it.

    Prayers for everyone.

As sad as this is, just remember that if you had not made her go "poof", he would have let all the kittens die and not worried a bit about it at all. At least with you, the rest have a chance now...

I had no idea that they had shots to make them produce milk, but then, I never thought about it either.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. RIP little ones!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
