There's a calculator, for husky lover. You should feed a skinny dog about 5% of their body weight... which would be 1.5 lbs per day. That's about 1/4 of a Chicken, depending on the size of the Chickens you buy. Don't forget that about 10% of their intake should be organs... but you can just feed them 2 organ meals or whatever per week. Half of the 10% should be liver, as a rule of thumb. I hope your dogs do well with it!
I was in a huge hurry this morning, and I stayed up until like 6 AM D:... so they each got 1/2 lb of frozen Buffalo Farmore. They love that stuff, so whatev.
The Shelties had pumpkin and beef w/organs for breakfast (well.. late lunch really. Mum was in a rush this morning). They split a chicken leg for dinner.
I introduced Kuri to raw today. He had Go! Natural for breakfast, and beef w/organ, part of a chicken leg and some Tripett for dinner.
Kai [Sheltie], Kaedyn [Sheltie], Keeva [Malinois], Kwik [Malinois]
Last night's dinner:
Chicken quarter
Beef heart
pork hocks
This morning's snack:
Nanook had beef trachea & salmon
the rest had salmon & eggs
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
Chester hasn't eaten yet, but he's having a turkey neck and organs![]()
My babies had 1 lb Whiting fish today.
Nebo *was* going to have the Nature's Variety venison raw tonight, but once again, he turned his nose up at it.Apparently I now have 12 lbs of raw food for Sydney as she's the only one who will eat it!
So he'll be getting Natural Balance/Nature's variety venison formulas mixed (dry) as usual. So much for that....but he's happy and healthy...just strange I guess, I told him most dogs would kill for that dinner but it didn't change his mind.![]()
