Definately get both an antivirus and spyware scanners into your system (as stated above) ... theres a lot of baddies out there that can play havoc with your computer and even with your internet connectivity

It is probably nothing to do with your computer itself. Check with your ISP to make sure they haven't blocked port 25. Most ISPs block port 25 because it is the most commonly used for sending spam.

It connected today!!!! I do receive" loads" of spam mail now!!! Anti spy ware is in order!!!!

I know that sooner or later I will have to get another computer, this one was left to me, when my son moved out!!!
