Catty I agree. She was a beautiful little girl. But i really think her life was over before it was taken by that sicko. She was their cash cow. And IMO I think it is disgusting to use a child like that. She was gorgeous but she shouldn't have been forced into beauty pageants and other such things at such a tender age. She needed to be a child not a star. (we all see what happens to children in the lime light *cough Michael Jackson cough*)

however, I am glad they caught this guy. I hope he gets everything that is coming to him. Do they have the death penalty there? (i can't remember where they were from lol) I hope so and I hope he gets it. There is NO excuse for what he did. if it was an accident why did he run from the law for so long? I hope he goes to hell

Its sad her mom didnt get to see the case closed. But at least she is with her daughter now.

Its so sad what sickos will do.

But just in defence some kids do like doing pagents and stuff. I know my sister loves being in front of the camera and shes 7.

Catty1, I am with you on that too! When it happened and they put out her pictures, I said then that someone saw her as a adult being made up like she was. She was being displayed as a sex kitten instead of the innocent child she was...

I heard an interview today with someone who is a former FBI profiler, and he was asked to join the newer investigative team on this case a few years back. He refused.

And the comments on the arrest - the suspect's confession apparently included that he had picked JonBenet up from school, then raped her.

This was Christmas Day - there was no school.

Some sickos get a thrill out of confessing to a notorious crime.

And there is speculation about suicide; apparently Patsy's attorney had a note to be released only after Patsy's death. Apparently she wanted to protect her daughter - and was afraid that if the 'suicide' truth came out, she would have had to return all her daughter's trophies, which would have broken her heart.

Added to that was the statement that JonBenet was apparently distraught because she had gained 5 pounds over Thanksgiving and Christmas, and feared she wouldn't fit into a certain costume for an upcoming pageant.

I don't know who the worse sickos are....although the parents didn't murder Jon, she was certainly abused and miserable. That poor kid. Distraught over weight gain at AGE 6!!!

God help us all.

Now I really feel bad for the parents, since they actually didn't do it. I couldn't imaging losing a child AND everyone thinking you did it when you didn't
