I was upset for a little while after I read some posts in a thread that came up a few months ago, can't remember the title, but some old-timers did say they didn't respond to new members.

Lizzie, I would really like to see that thread you are referencing. I find that sort of comment from 'old-timers' quite surprising. I count myself among the semi old-timers, and can't think of anyone that I *know* that would have such an attitude, much less display it. So, I would like to see it, if you can find it, and see if perhaps it wasn't misunderstood. I didn't see it, so, I cannot say much (but, why do I go on and on, you might ask?), but, I am sitting here thinking, "surely she took that out of context".

IIRC, in the thread you are referring to someone mentioned that they didn't take the advice of a newcomer as readily as they would take advice from someone who has been here a while.
