Today they all had tripe for the first time! Good Lord that stuff reaks! Yuck! But anyway, of course the dogs loved it! Mandy's been picky lately but she gobbled that right up. They also had lamb shanks.
Does your crew like Goose? If so have they always or did you have to entice them at first? If so what did you do to get them to eat it?

And yes tripe does smell something awful. lol I'm glad that my butcher doesn't get it all that often. lol

Nope, they've never had it. Mandy might turn it down but I'd have a heart attack if one of the Labs turned down food ... or a brick for that matter. lol

Sue, I will take that goose! =P Goose & duck are Gonzo's favorites. How much does it cost in your area? It's like $2/lb here, so I don't get it often. Sorry that your 4 won't take to it, that's a surprise!

I just let the boys in from eating. They're happy, I finally got more lamb!

    Gonzo ~
    Lamb shank
    Snacks: Sardines & hard-boiled Egg
    Supps: Kelp & cabbage/tomato
Dessert: Apple & Banana Frosty Paw

    Fozzie ~
    Lamb muscle meat (frozen)
    Turkey wing
Snacks: Sardines, hard-boiled Egg, raspberries, cantaloupe
    Supps: Kelp & multi-vitamin
Dessert: Apple & Banana Frosty Paw

I get it for free. A family I know hunts geese but does it only for sport. So to make use of the animal they save me the meat.
I was also surprised that NONE of them would eat it, very surprised. The goose I gave them was a year old, frozen the entire time but looked great, smelled good and it wasn't even freezer burnt. I wonder if something was wrong with it? I don't know what but it really boggled my mind that none of them would even take one bite out of it.

    Last nights dinner:
    beef liver
    chicken quarter
1 chicken foot (Nanook had 2)

    This morning
    just 2 chicken feet each

The smallest Goose I have seen in the stores here has been over $40.00! It is extremely expensive here, so I never buy it.

I think shrimp would be the only thing I would NOT feed my dogs, it wouldn't make it past my own mouth.

    Last night's dinner:
    canned salmon
    canned mackerel
    no salt mixed veggies
    sweet potatoes
    turkey
    egg

    Breakfast this morning:
    venison
    2 chicken feet

Sue, do they eat any other wild meat? Wild animals have a totally different taste, so maybe they're used to grocery/butcher meats? =P That's all I could think of.
