Lot of sporting breeds in this area because MN has a lot of outdoorsmen, fishing/hunting etc types. Labs, goldens, springers, setters, pointers etc. Plenty of German Shepherds too.

pitbulls and a miniture (not sure how), black labs, rotties, boxers, great danes, beagles, and some little yappy things a couple houses down-never see them but always hear em'![]()
Border collies are probably the most popular in the area. Big dogs are very "in" around here. On any given walk through the neighborhood you will see labs, pitties, anatolians, great danes, st bernards, bernese mt dogs, newfies. Plus you see the typical numbers of mini schnauzers, poodles, cockers, shih tzus, and small mixes. We also get a lot of rare breeds like Chinese foo dogs, cresteds, buhunds, afghans, and all the water spaniel types.
"There are two things which cannot be attacked in front: ignorance and narrow-mindedness. They can only be shaken by the simple development of the contrary qualities. They will not bear discussion."
Lord John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton
On my block there's only a few other dogs and they are mixes. When we walk to the park down the street there are quite a few labs, mixes, and german shepards. I think bigger dogs that are seen as "outdoorsy" are popular here.
Pugs
Boston Terriers
French Bulldogs (YAY!)
Designer dogs (BOO!)
Lots of labs
Thank you Wolf_Q!
I would have to say beagles, pitbulls and labs. These are the 3 most common dogs in the shelters around my area.
