Do you guys just buy your meat from grocery stores or what?

I get most of my meat from pet supply stores and our vet. Most of it is Club Canine. It's ground meat and organs. It's awesome stuff. The last time I actually looked at how much I spent was when I bought a 6 pack of moose --- cost me $10 and lasted me 6 days. Not bad for moose though. The green tripe I get from Club Canine costs $10 for 10 packs, lasts me forever! When I go to the grocery store I always make sure to grab some ground beef (It can last me a few days), and pork hocks. I go to the butcher if I want oxtail, chicken backs, necks, or wings.

Do you guys just buy your meat from grocery stores or what? I haven't found a source of free-range/hormone free/etc. meat...wondering if grocery store meat is ok (I don't seem to care that I eat it lol). I don't think I can afford the pre-made raw though I'd like to feed that.

I buy my meat from the pet supplie store, he will keep meat seperate for me before adding the tiny bit of preservative he uses. I buy some of their food from the supermarket/ grocery store aswell, and will stock up when certain things are on sale .

The dogs are all on diets (Tinny mainly) and tonight they had mostly carrot mush, with some sardines & chicken mince, ohh and supps. I baked them some wholemeal/ chicken liver/ flaxseed/ carrot training treats tonight aswell, and baked some chicken livers up for them aswell.

I currently buy mine from the Grocery store, but I know our Natural Foods Market sells Hormone-free, humanely raised meat. I just bet it's really expensive.

The kids had a chicken carcass each tonight and some beef mince, plus supplements and a bit of the liver i dried out for them last night.

last night they had:
beef roast
Raustyk didn't finish her turkey leg for breakfast so she got the rest of it for dinner.

This morning I was a bad mom, I didn't have anything thawed or even partially thawed. Some of them were acting really hungry for some reason so I gave them some egg & shells, yogurt, and they split a can of mackeral. Just enough to hold them over till dinner. lol

LOL they didn't get fed last night either. I was surviving yesterday on 20 minutes of sleep in 48 hours, and once I got home at 9:00 and played a bit with the kitties, I went straight to bed. Feel bad for my doggies!

This morning they had chicken. I don't know what, but they are eating something tonight!

I forgot to add before that i found a supplier for rabbit yesterday woohooo but at $4 each they wont be getting them too often, unless i can work out a better price for bulk buying . They also supply Kangaroo, but Elvis got sick last time he ate Roo, so he will get something else on Roo day.
