    Stroke, stroke, stroke.....

I have never had the chance to play coxswain before.

    LOLOL,

Yep, this gal has the temerity to complain about paying her insurance, yet she employs someone getting a freebie?

    Get her address.

    I am fortunate.

I have healthcare insurance for the rest of my life because of my job.

I pay 5 dollars for a doc visit....

Years ago, I cut my hand, had four stitches put in and paid 20 dollars.

This broad should drive her car into a pole and see how much 100 dollars buys her.

Of course, afer the accident she'll want a nose job, boob job and liposuction to let her get over the trauma.

Cut loose the nanny and she can afford the insurance.
Get rid of the gardener, pool boy, pilates and SUV and have her take care care of her spawn......

Did I mention the nails, hair and wardrobe?

Thanks! But I have to pay to read enough of an article to confirm what it is.

Was hoping to look up the address for Richard - it wouldn't be hard!

    Thanks

This reminds me of another story that is headlines around California.

A woman was stopped for a traffic violation. She did not have a valid driver's license and she did not have insurance for the car.

Upon further investigation the officer discovered that there was a warrant for her arrest because she had not returned library books. She had been sent letters, but she had moved and had not received them. The penalties and fines were now up to $118.00.

All you heard about were the library books - it is the law - you must return them or be fined. There was a long video showing her assisting her young son to read. They interviewed her and she was "shocked" that she would be sent to jail over some books.

Uh, and the driver's license and lack of insurance????????????? That was never mentioned again.

Well, now they can't deport the illegal mommy because she now has an "anchor baby" which is a US citizen.

I don't know how it is where you all are but when I was working for the insurance co, we still had to pay for some of our health insurance premiums, plus co-pays and all that junk.

When I had to make an emergency hospital visit in 2000, I ended up paying $700 even though I'm low income and medicare paid most of my bill. While that is not a great amount and I'm very grateful that I didn't have to pay the entire bill which was thousands of dollars, I can totally understand the feelings of frustration of having to cut corners even further to pay bills that illegals get paid for free.

HOWEVER: if she could afford to hire someone to do work for her, she is not among the low income and should expect to pay her own way, just like I did when working, and most other working people do!!! Maybe a visit from the ones who are SUPPOSED to get after people for hiring illegals, would change her slant on the matter??? If she's really bummed about it, she could hire someone legally!!!
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

The mother's name, her husband's name, her daughter's name, the town they live in and a photo were all in the article. Obviously, they see nothing wrong in this attitude.

It is the hypocrisy which bothers me. Many people are quite willing to accept the lower price of goods and services resulting from the presence of illegal immigrants (for example Walmart....caught having crews of illegal Polish immigrants cleaning stores at night for just over $2.00/hour) but demand their deportation ...or at least that they suffer properly.

When I was a kid my dad and mom took us out to pick tomatoes for canning-
I was a tough miserable job. Mud, bugs, insecticide (this was before the DDT bans.)

That day I knew that I would never want to work in the fields to earn a living.

I do respect anyone who does the 'dirty work' for me.

    As LH said,

As long as these 'outraged employers' employ illegal aliens, the problem will never get solved,.

    MOFF,

It is far easier to hire someone under the table, than it is to legally hire someone and give them Insurance, pay taxes and do all the paper work to keep everything above board.

This past week there was a fire in the ritzier part of town, Brentwood.

A gentby the name of William Rivers was trying to get to his home..

As he was turned away by the cops he stopped to talk to the reporter...

"I have to get to my house, my 16 month old is up there with the nanny, she can't drive or speak English...."

Of course your kid can't drive or speak English...what about the nanny?
