Yes, I'm actually a bit obsessive about his teeth, I probably check them once a day or more. I usually brush them 2-3 times a week. Smokey had really nasty teeth, Reggie had really nasty teeth (he only has 3 now because the rest had to be pulled) and I'm soooooooo not letting Nebo get like that. Plus I don't like stinky doggy breath. The brand of toothpaste I have is Four Paws Pet Dental, it has a sweet smell I don't care for the poultry/beef/etc. smells ew.

He's 4 years old with no tartar on his teeth...a bit of staining in the back but that's all, I've seen 6 month old dogs with dirtier teeth. He actually likes having his teeth brushed, if he sees the toothbrush he comes right up and wants it done and he wants to lick the toothbrush afterwards.

Sometimes I think it has to do with the breed. Mouth shape or type of bite maybe? I hardley ever see a golden retriever or husky with bad teeth but I rarely see a cocker spaniel with clean teeth.

Most smaller dogs tend to have teeth problems. Also, Cockers just tend to have more health problems over all.
