Like Karen said, they don't smell unless you don't clean their cage. Right now we have two hamsters (a syrian and a dwarf(not housed together, of course!)) and they don't put off hardly any smell at all.![]()

I think they do have a smell. Even when the cage is newly clean, they still have an slight odor.
I never noticed that hamsters stink. I've noticed that they do have a smell to them, but, most pets have some smell. I wouldn't call it a bad odor, though. But, some people's noses are a lot more sensitive than others. Dirty hamster cages usually lead to dirty hamsters, though, but, that's the owner's fault.![]()

When I worked at PetCo.... cleaning the hamsters cage was my LEASTTTT favorite job. They were cleaned every other day, but boyyyyy they stank SO BAD and they managed to get pee in places I didn't even think was possible. It was so gross lol
