Sounds like pretty good news. I mean if it has to be something, I'm glad it's that. Can cateracts be from diabetes? How do they know yours isn't? My mom is diabetic and I ask a lot of questions, sorry.![]()

(((hugs))) David good luck with your surgery, sorry to hear that you have a cataract but glad that it's not something more serious. Keep us updated!
Thanks, Jen. I'll probably have it done in Monroeville On rte. 48 near Forbes hospital (not at the hospital).Originally Posted by JenBKR
Ok, good, don't go to Forbes if you can help it!Originally Posted by david p

Is it laser surgery? Guess by this day and age, eyes can only have laser surgery.
Eyes heal very quickly - no doubt within at most two-three days, you'll wonder why it took so long to go to doctor.
"Well cause until I went I could see better. I went when I realized I had a problem!"
I hope your health insurance covers majority of bills!
Good Luck and Speedy Recovery!
Jen, I'm glad it isn't Forbes either. I've spent way too much time at that place! I don't know when they're going to do it, I'll find out when I meet with the surgeon on the 24th.Originally Posted by JenBKR
Don't worry, it's a good question. An eye ailment that diabetics can get is called retinopathy, which are little blood vessels bursting inside the eye, obscuring vision. I just have the garden variety cataract!Originally Posted by My Peanuts
