Jupiter is my orange *boy* and I've never met a sweeter soul!! He is soooo sensitive.. and such the gentleman! He loooves to meet other kitties and loves his mommy too!!
Heh, they sounds very great! See, I would also be worried for the newest kitty' sake because although Isis was third, after Tier passed away and Soni came along, she is still very on-edge and territorial even though she is friendly with my husband, me, and Soni. I wouldn't want the newest kitty to get hurt or something.

Wow, that made me remember. Troy and I adopted a cat that hung around outside (he remained an outside cat as we would not have been able to bring him with us anyways) and named him Shadow. He was pretty awesome. Both of them got along with him and my neighbor/friend two cats(brother and sister).

It seems to be like this: Orange - feisty and entertaining, no? =D All of your cats are prettttttty. Your Pearl looks like Isis. What point is she? Thank you!

For now, having one goofy orange male is enough He balances out Mitzi's moodiness.
Heh, sounds like our boy, Soni, balancing out our moody little Siamese girl!

She is constantly fighting with Jazz for the Queen Bee spot but Jazz is bigger and a little older and always wins.

On the other hand I have to say Scout it my special kitty. I knew it when I saw her at the shelter. She had been abused by some boys and had really had a hard life. That might explain some of her issues. Anyway, she is a total sweetheart to me, loves to sleep with me everynight and has really bonded with me.

Out of all 5 of my cats she is the only truly social one with people and doesn't hide when we have company. She obviously prefers people to cats - very surprising knowing that people had abused her.
Aw, well THANK YOU for adopting her. Sounds like she really needed a good home and she got one! =D Her being a people cat IS really weird all things considered! But she sounds like a sweetheart anyways!

Isis doesn't like anyone except Soni and me. At night, when everyone is asleep, that is when she decides she likes my husband and cuddles with him(though neither of them will ever admit it, I shall obtain photographic evidence one day!)!

Those will earn you a hiss and swat. She is a goof but not much of a lap cat or a cuddler. She will sleep with me some nights but that is as much snuggling as she will do.

Heh, she sounds like a regular ol' sweetheart!

We have our evening sleep exercise down to a T. Round and Round on the bed pull all of Moms hair out of her pony tail holder rat the heck out of mommys hair-Drool-roll-over and then sleep with his head on my pillow and one arm around my neck. He is truely the bessssst!
I think you should get an orange Male they are pretty special.
Aw, he sounds just like Oliver and Soni! Oliver had this obsession with pulling out ear rings, though! O_O He also liked to wake you up in the middle of the night to pet him for HOURS (literally) if you made him mad earlier in the day.

Just go along to the shelters with an open mind, and as another poster suggested let the kitty pick you,but if you seriously want an orangie female, then ask at the shelter for the sweetest natured one, good luck.
Yep, I will just be casual and let my kitty come to me. I was just concerned about some of the things that I've heard and did not want to bring in a cat that would not get along with two that I already have or vice versa, ya know?

I've not met/heard about one that it isn't true. Well, maybe one.

But the flame point females, well, I had one so territorial, she mapped out a 6x6 plot of floor, and if any cat entered it, she pummelled them.

    Heh, that is pretty funny.

You know, I love the way flame points look. Very regal yet rebellious.

Don't be fooled by the stray who is loving and purring and doing head bumpies, my Ash the grey one in my siggy was just like that when we took him in, sweet as,but 7 years later we now know it was all an act to intice us into keeping him, lol, we love him to bits all the same but he can be a bit of a mr Jekkyl and Hyde purrsonality , but then that is what makes him so special i guess, he has cattitude.

My black girl Lexie on the other hand makes up for it, could not get a sweeter natured kitty, but then she is a tearaway and recks anything in site, no more net curtains upstairs in my house, scratched and torn wallpaper a favourite pass-time of hers, but she is worth it all.

Every cat is different, but i find the females are the ones who don't seem to like each other, i have two backyard kitties i look after and my Lexie changes from a sweet girl to monster kitty when she see's them, she even attacks them through the ranchsliders, mind you one of the girls is just as bad if not worse and ole Ash bless him just takes it in his stride and is not generally bothered by any of them, infact shares his verandah space with them often.

Good luck on your choosing, let us know how you get along.

She sounds just like Isis! ! ! Isis likes to get inside cupboards, not tell anyone that she is in there, and worry me to death. That happens quite a bit. She sure is sweet, though. =D

Soni nudged me to pick him up as soon as I started reading this post. He says, "I am not devious! I promise! *crossed paws*" All in all, he is not TOO destructive. He gets the wicker and regular furniture every couple of days but we're trying to teach him not to while we are in the process of acquiring a non-carpeted scratching post.

That sounds like Soni, he is pretty loving and easy going. He is too friendly for his own good seeing as how someone that my husband and I live with let him outside (knowing that he's not supposed to go out) and he got hurt yesterday. He is limping and I will try and get him to the vet tomorrow. =(

I can honestly say, I have never " picked " one of our cats because of their colour, behavior, whatever. As my husband has said MANY times, we didn't pick our cats, they all have been sent to us. And that is so true.

That is so true for me too, Ash just turned up my grey boy and Lexie well i was going to pick a grey cat next to her, but she bit my finger, and we had no idea what colour Lexie was because she was hidden under a blanket, but when those two beautiful yellow eyes looked up at me, i knew she was the one, and my backyard kitties well most of you know how i aquired them, i have yet to actually pick a kitty out LOL
