My orange tabby Male is the sweetest lover that I have ever had. He is in total love with his Mommy can't sleep without me. In fact I would work late in the summer evenings and he would actually wait for me to get home before he would go to bed. Isn't that crazy?? I Love him he is my big Buhdah. We have our evening sleep exercise down to a T. Round and Round on the bed pull all of Moms hair out of her pony tail holder rat the heck out of mommys hair-Drool-roll-over and then sleep with his head on my pillow and one arm around my neck. He is truely the bessssst!
I think you should get an orange Male they are pretty special.

Now i have never owned an orangie, so what would I know?? but honestly in my experience colour does not come into it very much, they all have different natures and purrsonalities,as by reading this thread you will find some female orangies are wonderful , some not so,however any orangie males i have come across i must say seem to be lovely natured, so maybe there is something in it after all.

Just go along to the shelters with an open mind, and as another poster suggested let the kitty pick you,but if you seriously want an orangie female, then ask at the shelter for the sweetest natured one, good luck.
    Furangels only lent.

I know an all orange girl and she is great. Very loving with her mama.

I also know there is a reputation with flame point Siamese males as being luv bug, laid back guys.
I've not met/heard about one that it isn't true. Well, maybe one.

But the flame point females, well, I had one so territorial, she mapped out a 6x6 plot of floor, and if any cat entered it, she pummelled them.

I suspect this has more to due with her natural nature than being based on color/temperment but I felt it would be best to give you the heads up just in case.

Good luck in finding a new addition to your home! I always joke with my husband too that we need to "collect the whole set" talking about getting one in every color
Ah, okay. Thank you very much! =D Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever had a friendly cat. Well, my grandmothers Maine Coon, Smokey, was super sweet but other than that, no.

Each one is a limited edition collectible, doesn't he know?

Her brothers were just called 'The Yellow Fellows'.

Bringing in a kitten would likely be easiest when you already have established females. I am sure there are lots of kittens coming into shelters this time of year- I am sure you will find the cat for you! Good luck!
My mom brought that to my attention today and it made me think, "Kind of like finding a male calico. It just doesn't happen, usually?" She said yep. Heh, I've seen a lot of animals on here named Gracie and it always makes me think my niece, Grace (Gracie Poo Doody-Head). The Yellow Fellows, hehe. Sounds like a blues band.

Well, Soni is a male and Isis is a female. Soni is very calm, sweet natured, and opposed to other cats. Isis, on the other hand... is, well, Isis. So, bringing in an adult would probably not be the best idea? Do you think it would be a better idea to bring in another male? Thank you very much!

Heh, I know, isn't it? That's what I plan on doing because I know I won't be able to help myself if some little kitty comes up to me and "mrows" and purrs. It will be kind of like how I got Isis.

My orange male, Oliver, was great. Pika-kitty Mode and all. I haven't been in contact with too many females of any type who were friendly. Isis is friendly with me but nobody else. She likes my husband when he's asleep. (Siamese-Ragdoll)

    I know it doesn't help you...sorry!
It does help! =D Why are they so sweet?! This bewilders me! =D I am still trying to figure out why our stray is the sweetest damn cat that I have EVER seen. (Head bumbs, kisses, love bites, demands for attention by standing on your leg, sleeps with you, lets you BATHE him, etc)

So I guess it could have some color link somehow. I understand about being drawn toward a particular color - but I also understand that even if you feel drawn toward a particular color to begin with, a visit to the shelter may introduce you to a kitty of an unexpected color who wins your heart. Happy kitty-finding. I wish I could go looking for more, but we have a harmonious home balance, and we are going to maintain as is.
Well, I am not too concerned about colour, just so long as they are nice and comfortable kitties! Soni, our tuxedo male, is the sweetest, most loving, cat that I have ever come in contact with. He is extremely sweet and docile and, thusly, would get beat up easily because he is so friendly. He's smart too! He can open doors, knows (and responds!) to "sit".

Aw, sounds awesome! She sounds just like Soni (Soni Bunny DeathCat, as I like to call him. He is a vicious, blood thirsty, killer, don't ya know? )

Awesome! There seems to be a fifty-fifty thing going on, so far. My whole point with the orange thing was that if orange females are meaner and more territorial then I really don't want to adopt one who won't get along with my Isis (even though she probably wouldn't make contact for a while) because it wouldn't be fair to either of them. But I don't see any reason that would hinder me from adopting an orange female if I that so happened to be the one I wanted. =D Thank you much!
