Oh, good. Hope all is okay, pups usually sleep a fair amount, but get into enough mischeif when awake to make up for it!

Maybe I'm part puppy, because Dad describes my early years as "go all out 90 miles an hour, then CRASH - collapse asleep wherever you were." He'll describe sudden quiet as knwing I'd finally conked out, then finding me asleep in a doorway, halfway crawling up a chair, on the bottom stairs ... hey, I wasn't picky!

First I'd like to congratulate you and welcome you to Pet Talk

My big boy Bon slept all night the first night we brought him home and almost all day the next day! It took him about a week to adjust to not being with all his siblings so I'm hoping that your puppy is just missing it's cage mates.

Good luck with the vet visit and let us know how things turn out.
Oh and if you happen to have any pictures I for one would love to see them!

I seen in your other thread that you had looked at puppies who were supposedly mastiff, I have a mastiff named Bon

    Unhappy puppy

I have 7 week old shih-tzu. She was so happy and loving for the first 2 days. Now she just cries. Is she missing her litter now? I don't know what to do. I am crate training her and she loves her little condo. Emma also is already paper trained. Please help.

Are there any other symptoms? Upset stomach, coughing/sneezing, etc?

A really common issue, which happens to almost everyone I know who has had a young puppy, is overfeeding. Most people just feed their pup as much as they will eat right away, and the change in environment plus the change in food can be VERY stressful to their system. I would go ahead and fast her for 12 hours at a time, providing her water of course, and she should regain her appetite. Put down her kibble for 10 minutes, and pick it up until a few hours later. Make sure she has lots of stimulating play time (in your yard, if possible) but definitely don't overdo it. And, definitely she should see your vet for a check-up anyway, good luck with her!
