Valentines Day... yay or nay

It's not a big deal to me. This will be our first V-Day as a married couple and it really makes no difference to me. We aren't doing anything special, I work till 7pm and have to be back at work the next morning at 7am.

not a biggie to me - (don't care). but if someone I know cares, sure I care. when I was little, our school had to share something, it was fun getting candies.

Valentines day is relatively new in NZ, maybe been celebrated around five years now, it is only for sweethearts and wife's and husbands here, it is a big day for the retailer and some people go over board IMO, but it is a fun day all the same, and I say hey why not, if you want to celebrate it do, if not don't, i have had my disappointments on valentines day as my hubby is not the biggest on romance, and it just made me feel annoyed really, so i don't care to celebrate it really.,it puts too much expectations on people ..but i actually did get a card this year.

Did not vote as i am neither for or against it really!
It is far too commercialised now....if you love someone you should let them know every day....why wait till February 14th!!! I tell my husband I love him at least once a day and I tell Bubble and Squeak I love them once a day if not more!!!!

Well, it's sweet if you have a beau but other than that I think it's depressing and over commercialized. Yesterday I saw like 7 commericials on one channel telling them to buy this or that for V-day.

I don't care for it all. What is the history of Valentine's day? It has no religious meaning to me, therefore, I do not care for it.

I am not depressed because I don't have a boyfriend, and even if I had one, I STILL wouldn't care for it.

To me, Valentine's day is just any other day..

I haven't liked Valentines Day since fifth grade. I gave out Valentines
to every other kid in my class & did not get even 1 card from anyone.
I was crushed.
