I like them, though I've never owned any of my own.
We once had company that stayed the night that was moving from texas to vermont and they had guinea pigs. They were so cute! Everytime they heard a wal-mart bag they knew it was time for treats, and they got all excited!
A friend of mine offered me one for free, but were not ready to add to the family yet.

We just had a mama at work who had THREE babies! She is TINY herself! But the babies are all.. six weeks old and I think they all got adopted out last week! They were the CUTEST things EVER!
