So the cat police figured out what happened to poor Mouser now? That had to be a most harrowing experience for the poor guy and then you come home to find all that blood everywhere.... Ewwwwww! I am glad we finally know what happened to the poor baby that night...

Poor Mouser. I'm glad that you finally solved the mystery though so that all of your furkids will now be out of danger.

Yes! Exactly that. What we figure is Paisley would hide out in that closet (she's still semi-feral) and Mouser is very aggressive with her. We think he went in after her and during the scuffle knocked the paper cutter in a way it caught his tail and off it went! I'm just glad we finally got it solved and the danger out of there! The nice thing is I'm able to tuck the litter boxes in there now and the cats seem to really like it. Gives them a litte more privacy! We will now keep our closets in better order!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
