I watched Tristan and Isolde today. It was SO good! Very sweet movie.

I also saw Brokeback Mountain last week. Definitely not what I expected it to be. It was really sweet and made me tear up a bit.

Dang, I wanna see both of those!!!! I have a guy who wants to see both of them with me, too, so, that should be cool.

    YES!!! I absolutely love it
The movie is full of characters who probably represent many of the neuroses we all have! Talk about dysfunctional - the movie is like a parody. HA!! They are irritating and lovable

The Stone family consists of three sons and two daughters. The plot is the gathering of the members for a Christmas visit. The leading son is bringing home his very uptight and neurotic fiance - who the family has pretty much decided that they hate might dislike and are against the marriage of the two. The family includes the mom who reminds me of a ditzy yet smart Donna Reed or Martha Stewart. The dad is a loving sterotype of "every-dad". One daughter is separated from her hubby and has a precocious daughter. Youngest daughter is gossipy and spoiled - spreads negative reviews of the fiance and is the one who is displaced from her room to accomodate the guest. Another brother brings home his partner who is a nice calm person who trades recipes with the mom. The final son is a laid back, funny and non-judgemental prodigal who befriends the fiance.

I found the whole plot hysterical and loved every silly ( and bitter-sweet) event in the movie. Something for everyone!! It was like eavesdropping on a few days in the life of a family with all the problems we all have. I hope you watch it Carole We plan to buy it once the DVD is out - will be fun to rewatch each Christmas season.

Just saw Capote over the weekend. Good movie, he was an interesting person. Kind of a somber movie though.
Did anyone know that it was Harper Lee (she wrote "To Kill a Mockingbird" - my favorite book), who was his lifelong friend and helped him with all his research for "In Cold Blood"? Traveled to Kansas with him to do so.
Her book and the movie ended coming out before his, even though he started it in 1959.

Also just saw "Skelelton Key". Good ending.
Kedi, Wylie, Rudy, and the dog Scout!

I really want to see Capote, I remember reading "In Cold Blood' a few years back and enjoyed it. Skeleton Key was really good, I personally loved the ending
