    Movies I've watched recently!

The Skeleton Key, good acting and plot and story, the ending was unique

Born into Brothels, I really expected a flop or a horror story, but it turned out to be a really nice documentary with extremely happy ending

House of wax was really gory, and freaky, I liked the little surprises throughout it like who the old peeking lady turned out to be. OH! and I LMAO when they were filming paris hilton in the night vision! LOL

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was ..... "special". I didn't really like the creepyness to it, think I'll stick to the older version.

I HAVEN'T seen these yet but can't wait to, we've got them on dvd already just need time to watch them. maybe somebody else has???

Palindromes, House of D, The Life, Rain, Stealth, Land of the Dead, Christmas with the Kranks, the ring 2, polar express, devil's rejects, and birth?

((we get special deals on columbiahouse.com ))

Some of those I've never heard of, but Polar Express was very good. I loved the animation, and the storyline was so cute I haven't seen Christmas with the Kranks, but I read to book (Skipping Christmas) and it was ok.

I watched Wild at Heart the other night....it is directed by David Lynch, and, anyone who's seen anything by David Lynch knows that his movies aren't conventional. And, this one was no different. I loved it. It's Nicholas Cage, Laura Dern, Willem Dafoe, Diane Ladd, Crispin Glover...great cast. I thought the love story between Cage and Dern was amazing, sweet, hot, and, passionate. There was a lot of chaos surrounding them, but, nothing made their love sway. It is not a movie for everyone, but, I thought it was really good.

Has anyone seen King Kong, yet? I don't know that it will be a favorite of mine, but, I do want to see it in the theaters. I like the story and I know the special effects will be good, if nothing else. And, I really like Naomi Watts...I like Jack Black's comedy a lot, too, but, not sure if I'll dig him in this role. I have heard that Adrian Brody is a good actor, but, I've actually not seen him in anything, although I want to see most of his films.

Kari, did David Lynch do Maholland Drive (not sure if I spelled that right) Did you see that movie? It had Namoi Watts in it. To this day I'm still trying to figure out the ending of that movie.

Adrian Brody is an awesome actor!! IMHO anyway....

Thank you Kay for the beautiful sig!

Oh, yeah, I saw that. I LOVED IT. But, my brother and I watched it twice and then spent a couple hours online reading up about it. It's a really twisty movie. But, I can tell you in a pm why the ending is so jacked up. Ha ha. It's actually the beginning that's really twisted. There are still a lot of things that don't make a lot of sense, but, I guess it's not really too important and Lynch has a way of making movies so that a lot of the meanings are up for interpretation, shall we say. It was the first movie I'd seen Watts in, and, he usually does that...picks actors that aren't famous. She was incredible in that movie. The scene where she auditions for the part, man that was intense. And, I love the scene in the theater where the lady sings "Cryin" in Spanish. It's so haunting! Great movie, though.

Carole, I saw House of Wax. I really liked it.

I saw King Kong the other day. It was pretty good.. just REALLY long. It felt like it kept dragging on, and on.

I'm hoping to see The Family Stone soon. Looks funny

I saw that movie - I remember watching it but it made no sense to me. I sat there confused at the end!

I saw Red Eye the other day - that was pretty good. Also the Wedding Crashers, I really enjoyed that one
