I really know exactly how you feel. That story about the lab is horrible. Why was that woman surrendering the poor thing? She must have no heart at all. I've taken quite a few animals to animal control, knowing what might be their fate. But, it's better than them starving or worse. You've got to remember that you can't save them all, though I know how it feels to want to do so. We simply can't take on everyone else's irresponsibility. I just wish that more people in the world would realise what a commitment getting an animal is and then there would be less chances of things like this happening. It breaks my heart, too. I pray both the cat and dog find good, loving homes. The homes they deserve.

of incident would have broken my heart as well. So sad.

That's awful, but I hope both the kitty and the dog get adopted. The poor woman must have something going on where she can't keep the dog anymore. She wouldn't be crying if she didn't love it.
