Has anyone ever had a name chosen before they had the pet?

You are not alone here Kari, yes I also had Lexie's name picked out before i met her, and I have names already picked out for future kitties in my life, I save them on my favourites, I hope to own a tortie girl one of these days and she will be called Autumn I think (not copying you Megan,had it already chosen a while back lol).

Let's see...with our current pets, we have some of each. My husband had always wanted a dog named Max, so our first basset was named Max. We had also picked out Gus and Oscar as other good basset names, so they were both named before we got them. (Gus is our RB basset boy. ) Saphirah and Chloe were named after getting them, as was Samson, although I've always liked Samson as a name for a male cat.
