After viewing some of the pictures I realized that regular LA County Firemen are fighting this blaze, not just forest fire fighters.

We have LA City, County, Ventura County firemen out there at the moment. The Dept of Forestry and "smoke gangs' from the jails should be getting out soon.

We are ringed the Santa Monica mountains, Angeles Nat'l. Forest and a few others. The fire is on the border of the L.A. Ventura County line, the Northwest corner of the county.

I live 3/4s of a mile from County FD Heliport/Urban Search and Rescue HQ -the yard where they keep the huge bulldozers they use to cut the firebreaks......

At sunset they fly the big FireHawk Helicopters back home-coming home to roost..... Last night there were no 'roosters'!
About 9 last night they started moving the 'dozers to the west end of the valley-About 14 miles.

When THEY move you know it's a huge fire!
