Since giardia is zoonotic (crosses species) a vaccine against that would be beneficial. People are immunized for life or at least 10 years (tetanus). Why shouldn't animal shots be like that?

If people weren't getting gouged on shots, they might be more inclined to visit the vet more often for other complaints which might become severe if not treated promptly. So the financial issue should be moot.
