Did you guys use any ear protection? We are 9 rows off the track for the Busch race and 4 rows up for the Nextel cup. Just wondering what we should ook into getting, it anything.
You guys are so lucky, what great seats! I wish I could go!

You definately need ear protection. Earplugs work fine, but if you want to hear what's going on you need to get a scanner and headphones. I think ours was around $100 and came with 2 headsets. But if you really want something good...get the headsets with the microphones, then you can talk to each other and not nudge and try to talk with your hands

And how long did you sit in the seats??..
For a VERY long time Friday since it kept raining

THe first timers always jump up and down to get a better view...
Yeah, Yeah...you could say we jumped up and down a few times

But what about the smells????
Food, popcorn, oil, tires...

Mmmm smell that fuel oil and burnt rubber!
Food smelled good, but I was more into the race than the food

The sounds?
You mean the deafening sounds of 43 race cars going around the track or the earsplitting sound of the 4 jets

Thunder, shaking, the crowd?
The crowd roared, we did the wave durning the time it was raining...that was fun!

Ohhs and Ahhhs..
cheers and the fly over after the National Anthem...

There, you got the goose bumps back......

I got those goose bumps when I was telling a girl at work all about it!
Ok, I have to admit...the jets were almost my favorite thing! The first time they went over surprised me and I know I was screaming and having the biggest smile of my life! I have them on video, but of course can't attach it

I closed my eyes when I saw the Jeff Gordon pics....
Oh come on now, you know he's a hottie and a darn good driver! You should have closed your eyes when you seen Kurt Busch

So yeah, I loved it...Loved the thrill of the fast cars, seeing the drivers, hearing the crowd roar, seeing the guys jump out of the plane, the sound of those awesome jets and even the thousands of people that looked like ants when we were leaving. The only thing I didn't love was the smell of the diesel bus fuel when we were trying to find which bus was ours
