ummm,.... maybe you can go to a pet store or fish supplies store (that carries multi-fishes) and see what you like?

there are tw different kind of waters, salt & fresh..depend on what fish you find. salt water has more maintance (temp, salts) than fresh (regular) water fish.

goldfishes & bettas are the easier fishes to take care of, I don't know the others.
