How do folks make the text heart and other symbols??

Darn it. I just went searching for this thread to refresh my memory on how to make the heart symbol, and, I guess with the new format, we can't...is there a new way to do it? I'd like to use them in the book club thing, if anyone can help me out, that would be awesome!

Thank goodness!!! I just found this thread and I saw NO HEARTS ANYWHERE! I THOUGHT I WAS GOING BONKERS!!!!

Yeah, I'm wondering if there are any other ways to make little designs like that, though...that's a shame that we lost those!

Geez I thought I was going bonkers too, as I cannot see one heart on this thread, just the words, phew thank goodness it is not only me he he.

You can make the hearts symbol still! I just found this out!!! hold down the Alt button along with the number 3 on the number pad on the far right of your keyboard! Alt + 3 = ♥ See?? Alt + 5 = ♣!!! Alt + 7 = •!
