auggie, Littleton NH is a beautiful place to live. I highly recommend it. I love NH. I live a 1/2 hour from the beach (which I LOVE), 1 hour from Boston, a 1/2 hour from Newburyport MA (great little town by the sea), 10 minutes from a lake, 1 hour from the mountains and 15 minutes from the biggest city in NH (Manchester). I love the little town I live in. HOWEVER, the real estate situation in NH is ridiculous. A decent home starts at $300,000 (and this is a home on a 1/4 acre of land). Rents are high (but luckily mine is very low). It's impossible to buy a house here unless you are wealthy or upper middle class. It's very sad because I know I'll never be able to buy a house here. ILoveReptiles, I know how you feel. I use to own a townhouse and I HATED one of my neighbors. If they would have spontaniously combusted before my eyes, I would have been very happy. I lived there 8 months and finally decided to sell it and move back into my old apartment (where I'm very happy). Though I do dream of owning a little house on a nice piece of wooded land. I'll have to remember to buy a Powerball tix. I'll have to take that test to see where "my spot" is.
