Liz, please don't second guess yourself...Mike and I have done that for 2 years over a pit we had to put down because she attacked Sox and drew blood and it's absolutely heartwrenching. You did what you had to do. I would certainly question the shelter as to what it was. Was it possible that the little guy got antifreeze or something like that?
