I would never NOT have my dogs licensed.
Any thing that would help them get found if in the case they're lost is a good thing to me. It's law here that they are licensed, and they aren't allowed to go to many places if they aren't.
To get lincenses here, your dogs must have their shots.. which is great because if gives you a general idea at which dogs have their shots, which don't when you meet them.
    I think it's a GOOD law.

I vote no, as a fan of the pittbulls, dobies, rotties, etc I don't see the need to make our lives any more difficult by licensing them so everyone can know and file complaints over our "dangerous dogs"... if I ever get another one.

Oddly, there is no current law ,in the county I live, for dogs to
have a license. All dogs do have to have & display a current rabies tag and an indentication tag.

My county is the same Liz. The rabies tag is required but there is no actual licensing. The rabies tag goes on record and has a certificate to go with it, and is basically considered the license around here.

I have a kennel liscence, not individual dog liscenses. Without a kennel liscence I could only have 6 dogs! If I lived right in town, I could only have two dogs and two cats and they would all need to be liscenced. It's free if the animal is altered and microchipped, otherwise it's 100 bucks a year per critter. I pay 110 for my annual permit.

I refuse to liscence my cats. It irks me to know end that the city thinks it can tell me how many cats I can keep inside my own house. They don't go outside, most of them don't wear collars, they are all microchipped. I have more of them than the city by-law says I can have.
