I must disagree, Johanna. There is something about the volume of people's voices when they are on the phone. I don't object to public places like sidewalks, parks, etc. But I do take issue with them in restaurants, mostly, and church, for goodness sake! I swear, every Sunday, someone's phone will ring in the middle of the church service! No joke! And I have to tell you that I hope that they will never be allowed on airplanes. I think the ring annoys me as much as the long winded, loud conversations!
