So, it finalllllyyy got there!

I've been trackin' that bad boy for quite some time now,
wonderin' when the heck the lil' tracker box would say
more than just "Left the Hobbs/Roswell facility!" lol
*I* hadn't realized there was an "problem" till I read
Zipp's Post and then <looked> at the Postage Label =
EEE-Yiipes!! LOTTA $$ munnie for "Priority Mail" box to
take EIGHT Daze to get from New Mexico to Ohio!!
Sounds like a job for my Buddie Janice at the PO to look into!

Saturday mornin, at the PO...

Hi, Janice! Take a <look> at this lid from the box I got Friday.

Ooooh, MY!! EIGHT Days!???
Shudda been here LAST Saturday or Monday at the latest.
Something went terribly wrong with THAT Box!
Let's see... Address correct & Legible;
No postmarks showing it was mis-delivered;
leave that lid with me - I'll do an "inquiry" on Monday.

OK, Thanks!

Uhh-Ooooh! HERE's the Problem!!
See THIS >>>

Were there any "Hazardous Materials" in the box??

Uhhh, NO! Dawg & Kat Treats and Toys! No Bombs!

Welllll, "Somebody" at a Sorting Facility put
that "NO Fly" Label on there to prevent this box
from getting ON an airplane; OR when it got taken OFF
an airplane because of a "problem".
Wonder WHY it got put on there???

Further close examination of the lid revealed >>>

The PROBLEM >>>

Partially Obscured (But still "readable") Haz-Mat placards
imprinted on the carton ends...
Reads "Consumer Quantity" + "ORM-D" + "ORM-D-AIR"
All "shorthand" for saying the box once-upon-a-time carried
"stuff" that can't FLY without a Haz-Mat Shipping Document.

We looked a lil closer...
And decided The Box was a retired "Avon Cosmetics" carton.

LOOK! Somebody knew "Some of the Tricks" with
these old Avon boxes - they completely COVERED ALL the Big-Print
"AVON" imprints {SEVEN of em!) with paper labels.
And "tried" to cover the Haz-Mat placards printing with a magic marker!
Musta been a real Eagle-Eye Aviation Safety "Spotter"
that read those old Haz-Mat Placard imprints!

Then she went on to explain WHY she knew EXACTLY what happened...

Janice: "I used an Identical AVON box to send
Christmas gifts to my daughter - took TWO WEEKS to get to California!
Daughter complained to her Postmaster who did a review and
reported back that "the BOX" was at fault for it's "old" AVON labels!"

Moral of the Story - Don't use AVON Boxes to ship stuff!

I'm really SORRY that the "Gift Committee" was worried...
But it DID get here Safe & Sound.
Dunno if it was by Train, Truck, or 20-Mule Team Wagon;
but whatever the method - WE are HAPPIE!!

Here's the PO "Final Report" >>>
