I don't think I would have given them the satisfaction of knowing the cat was safe! I made sure one rescued during sub-zero weather was passed off as being frozen to death. I really didn't think a person who could call an animal "the love of his life" then abuse her to the point of the cat being psychotic, and then abandon her, should have the peace of knowing she's safe. Arianna is safely awaiting adoption now.
