Yeah, I am a HUGE Civil War fan. My dad got me into it. He is a federally licensed gun collector, mainly focusing on the guns from that era. He also does reenactments and skirmishes every year and goes to the Nationals out East. I am looking into getting a handmade civil war dress to wear so I can do the reenactments with him. I love watching movies and reading books about that era too. One of my favorite Hollywood movies is Glory which depicts that era beautifully- the uniforms, muskets, and every thing else is incredibly historically accurate which makes the movie even better- plus my dad’s good friend was in that movie. There is a lot of personal family history from that era also, I had numerous ancestors who fought in the Civil War.

If I could travel to any time, I would travel back to that era and live in it for a while just to see exactly what it is like.
Wow! I have always wanted to go to a reenactment of the Civil War. I don't know a lot about the Civil War. I have read a few books on it though. I am sure that to be wounded in the Civil War would probably be the most painful, because they didn't have morphine or anything like that, or if they did have something of that sort, it probably would be a very small supply. What side did you family fight on? The North or South? Just curious. I have never seen that movie, "Glory." I know this isn't during the Civil War, but one movie that I really liked was "The Patriot"....have you seen that? I like that movie....its sad though. I think I would like to travel back to the 50's...I could see Johnny Cash in concert.
