A dear friend of mine had one knee done this past March. When we went to the movies a couple of weeks ago, several of us had trouble keeping up with her. She's having the other knee done later this year. It's not a piece of cake, but she's glad she did it. The PT (physical therapy, not Pet Talk )afterwards takes the longest, but persistence has paid off for my friend and I'm sure it will for you too. Pain isn't fun; anything the docs can to do make it all better, and they're very good at what they can do these days, is worth the downtime. Of course we'll all be rooting for you and praying too.

As for the hospital food, it depends on the hospital. Some ARE better than others and actually can serve some pretty decent food.
