When a new member signs on they usually shyly give us some information about themselves and mostly about their pets.
Let's take Lady Dove for example. What a delightful addition who chats away about her birds and her family. None of us thought she might be a troll. We welcomed her warmly and she responded warmly. I hope she becomes a long time member.
However, Shantel started a new thread with some slang and somehow it took off with over 60 posts in a very short while.
Most of those reply posts were unkind - and made fun of the way she talked. The whole thread has been deleted. It doesn't matter who deleted it - it happily is gone.
Now there is a new one. No one is making fun of Shantel.
Peeps is slang for people. Someone else said that word reminded them of Peeps - a popular Easter candy by that name.
No one was making fun - it just took off in a discussion about that type of candy.
As for Shantel - one or two posts sharing nothing does not give me much information to go on - except my intuition, which I have relied on here based on past experiences.
