I talked to my friend Cathy, the Vet Tech at the shelter. She said that with Sara suckling on Sydney, it SHOULD help her produce more milk. Well, she's right. When I went into check on her, Sara's belly was full! I helped her pee and Sydney has been in the tub ever since, doing her "mama thing" ever since.
Cathy also told me that if I returned Sara to the shelter, she'd more than likely come down with a URI. So, to prevent it, I'm doing my damndest to keep these two together in the hopes that Sara will get big and healthy enough to be adopted out. As far as Sydney is concerned, she'll eventually be spayed, once Sara is weaned from her. Then I'll foster her till she becomes mine.
Surprized????? I'm not.
