Zippy, I am so thrilled and relieved that Sophie did fine!! Hugs and kisses all around; and you, I KNOW, are breathing one big sigh of relief!

Leslie, I am sickened and so heart sick to her about Sam. Especially so, because I too, have recently had to deal with a similar situation. I work at a kennel, and last Fri. night, a new boarder, a husky, vacationing from Ohio, lifted his latch and scaled two 6' fences. Hearing that news was so unbearable. I could only imagine the shock, horror and agony as the family got the news. We contacted every vet, animal control officer and radio station on the Cape. Each of us spent hours on our time off, driving everywhere looking for Robby. Every night I cried and prayed he would be found. Every day I saw his bag of dogfood on the kennel shelf, and would start crying all over again. As you know, kenneled dogs do NOT keep the collars/tags on for fear of choking. He was chipped though. Then, as the family was about to return to Ohio without their Robby, we got the call. Robby was found in a town 20 miles away! This family was incredibly lucky, and so was Robby. Why couldn't Sam have been lucky too?

Please, God, please, make a miracle. Heal this beautiful creature who is so loved, and who's only mistake in life was desperately wanting and needing to be back with her family. I pray that Sam will somehow recover from this tragic, tragic accident. We all love you Sam. We send you and your family our prayers and love.
